Waatea School

Waatea School is a unique, marae-based Years 1-8 primary school in Mangere, Auckland, focused on developing culturally proud students operating in both Māori (Te Ao Māori) and Pākehā worlds, offering strong community support via Manukau Urban Māori Authority (MUMA) services like Whānau Ora and food banks, and providing a nurturing learning environment with a focus on holistic development, strong whanaungatanga (relationships), manaakitanga (care), and kotahitanga (teamwork).
